Mixed-use space at 30 E. 4th Avenue selected as new home for Columbus-based creative agency.
Columbus, March 31, 2021 – Earlier today ZenGenius, Inc. announced the expansion and relocation of their offices to Columbus’ Short North neighborhood as of June 1, 2021.
“Columbus has been home to ZenGenius for nearly 25 years, and though a portion of our team works from coast-to-coast, our roots have always been in Central Ohio. While we never strayed too far, we’re excited to return to the Short North, the Art and Soul of Columbus. We’re passionate about supporting the community and providing a platform for creatives, so the Short North is a natural fit,” says Joe Baer, CEO and co-founder of ZenGenius, Inc.
Located at 30 E. 4th Avenue, the building will house their retail, visual merchandising and event design offices. The expansion also includes a new storefront for the ZenGenius Marketplace – an experimental retail concept launched in late 2020. Open to the public, the ZenGenius Marketplace offers a curated selection of creative gifts and exclusive products designed by ZenGenius’ own creative team and Columbus-based creatives. Additionally, the new space will serve as an experimental playground for new products, curated vendors and visual strategies for brand activation.
Encouraging sustainability, the ZenGenius Marketplace features an ever-evolving assortment of gently-used decor and props for events, weddings and personal celebrations. A portion of proceeds from ZenGenius Marketplace sales are donated in support of the Columbus Foundation, PAVE – Planning and Visual Education Foundation and select organizations identified by creative collaborators.
When asked about expanding during a global pandemic, co-founder and chief creative officer Paul Cook asks, “What is it they say? Necessity is the mother of invention? We navigated the uncertainty of 2020 by sticking to our core principles of ingenuity, sustainability and resourcefulness. It reminded us to stay grounded and reconnect with our roots, ultimately driving us to explore alternative avenues related to our field of expertise.”
